Software Studio

Software, built
in the quiet hours.

Lantern Hours is a small software studio crafting thoughtful, well-made products — the kind built slowly, with care, and a little light to guide the way.

The Studio

We build software the way a lantern works — steady, warm, and made to last.

Lantern Hours is a SaaS and software development studio focused on quality over noise. We design and ship native apps and web products end-to-end, from the first sketch to the shipped release — and we sweat the details that make software feel good to use.

Product & SaaS

Full-cycle product development — architecture, design, and engineering for web and mobile, built to grow with you.

Native Apps

Polished iOS experiences in SwiftUI, with an eye for performance, privacy, and the small interactions that matter.

Thoughtful by Default

Privacy-first, offline-friendly, and calm. We don't overpromise — we build things that quietly do their job well.

HalfLight

Remember your dreams. Learn to wake inside them.

HalfLight is our flagship product — a native iOS dream journal that catches the dream before it slips away, then helps you understand it, find its patterns, and slowly teach your mind to become aware while you sleep.

  • Fast capture. Type or dictate on-device, even at 3 AM, in a dark, low-glare interface.
  • AI-assisted insight. Dream interpretation, auto-tagging of recurring symbols, and generated titles — privacy-first.
  • Learn lucid dreaming. A structured lesson path through reality checks and MILD, WBTB & WILD — calm in tone, never overpromising.
  • Built to keep you going. XP, levels, streaks, weekly quests, and a year-view activity grid.
Ryan Lewandowski
The Founder

Hi, I'm Ryan Lewandowski.

I'm a software engineer and the person behind Lantern Hours. I learn best by building projects that are just a little too ambitious for my current skill level — and that curiosity is exactly what this studio is built on.

Programming keeps me hooked because there's always a new problem to solve and a better way to build something. I'm currently pursuing a B.S. in Software Engineering at Southern New Hampshire University (4.0 GPA, expected May 2028), with a growing focus on software architecture and system design.

Have an idea worth building?

Whether it's a SaaS product, a native app, or something a little too ambitious — I'd love to hear about it.
